A quarterly, peer-reviewed journal that explores, analyzes and prescribes recommendations based on the Graham Wallas 1927 four stage Theory of Creativity directly in relation to individuals with disabilities (as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990- see Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, As Amended https://ADA.gov.
Augmenting this theory is the notion that research is proceeded by passion, and that verification is followed by either incremental and/or systemic or transformational change. Each quarter will feature one of the following four categories of creativity and innovation as they relate to the field of disability:
A mentor once stated that the most transformational civic servants are often "educators with a mission." A mission usually implies a noble purpose that includes yet transcends an individual’s immediate self-interests. Educators arguably enjoy a level of autonomy and influence that is rarely matched in society. By being consultative and collaborative in nature while adhering to "win-win" strategies and practices for navigating and promoting students with disabilities, educators can act as positive boundary-spanners who promote the best interests of society at-large by being inclusive of people with even the most severe disabilities.
This strategy relates to more than just academic success. What is also essential for graduating students is the ability to think in an entrepreneurial manner and with critical thinking skills. Critical thinking skills pertain to the ability to assess, analyze and innovatively generate new ideas and solutions within a professional setting. This journal asserts that students with disabilities are more than adept at displaying these skills when provided with "a level playing field."
To promote critical thinking in socially responsible educational training resulting in significant improvement in the academic success rates of persons with disabilities.
To become a leader in the dissemination of information pertaining to consultative, socially responsible educational training that is based on equity and merit and inclusiveness of qualified students with disabilities.
Whether it confronts persons with disabilities, women, minorities, Veterans or other groups, a "glass ceiling" often faced in traditional employment can be circumvented in self-employment and/or sales related positions. Limitations based on a lack of education or gaps in a resume can be overcome with a lucrative outcome based on fulfillment of inclusive entrepreneurial opportunities.
To encourage and promote a "level playing field" for all in the realm of self-employment and/or autonomous sales-related positions. This will be accomplished by building a network based on referrals, promotion and cross-promotion of allied organizations led by leading Independent Living Centers.
To become a formidable and effective hub that serves as the foundation for a network of members adhering to a double bottom-line sales philosophy that is based on accessibility, sustainability, equality and inclusiveness.
Creating and maintaining products with integrity is the hallmark of a socially responsible manufacturer. Whether it be by consumer goods, technology, needed medical devices or a host of other product lines, practitioners who can be relied upon to sell a product that adds accessibility, sustainability and safety is surely on solid ground with her/his consumers.
To promote the ethical production and sales of accessible, socially responsible products and their marketing and sales leading to greater public awareness and consumer recognition.
To become a leading voice in both the community and cyber-community related to the production, marketing and sales of valued, accessible products.
Services that are inherently valuable, sustainable and accessible provide a quality experience to consumers. Practitioners who contribute such services either directly and/or indirectly provide an essential experience to consumers. Examples of such services include real estate services that are sustainable and accessible and healthcare insurance consultative sales that are affordable and easy to navigate. Of special emphasis is the provision of services that are inclusive and attainable to people with disabilities.
To promote the ethical performance, marketing and sales of valued, accessible services.
To become a leading voice in both the community and cyber-community related to the performance, marketing and sales of valued, accessible services.

The philosophy of the trade Journal is that creativity and innovation comprise much of the added value of people with disabilities; this value should be shared with and be of benefit to the public.
Welcome to the Journal of Creativity, Innovation and Disability (JCID). The mission of the Journal is to serve as an information hub that showcases examples of creativity and innovation of people with disabilities. For too long we have allowed the "disadvantages" to stigmatize people with disabilities rather than showcasing the unique talents of people with disabilities as well (e.g., Einstein, Edison, Lincoln, Churchill, Cerf, etc.). Emphasis is placed in this Journal on showcasing case studies and scenario research of both individuals with disabilities and their advocates who possess a vision for positively changing their communities through innovative practices (e.g., Disability and Innovation: Scientists with Disabilities who Changed the World) and the organizations that represent these interests. Although the Journal provides insight related to innovation issues, other social responsibility and human-interest issues are periodically included as well. We hope you enjoy this inaugural edition of the Journal.
Sincerely,
Richard Morfopoulos Ph.D., M.S. with distinction

"All human beings are of comparable value"(Morfopoulos, Lobb, Hoell, and Koumbiadis, 2022).
This reference section includes references that are not only directly referred to here, but that have guided many of our collective post-secondary educations and even our post-secondary institutions. Let us end here where modern science arguably begins: "E = mc2." To paraphrase Albert Einstein, "Imagination is more important than knowledge." In partial contrast and by addition, we believe that by also following the tenet (see Web retrieval of definition of tenet, 2022) that all human beings are indeed of comparable value, "we can have the best of both imagination and knowledge as well."
